For the ancient Greeks, the olive was a symbol of the Olympic ideals of peace, wisdom and victory and this is captured in this handmade creation.
Kotinos is a wreath made of olive leafs that was being gifted to the winners of the ancient Greek Olympic games. The leafs originated from ancient Altis that stood in the temple of Olympian Zeus in Ancient Olympia. From there, the jury took olive wreaths and created the wreath.
